Here are the costs usually associated with having a website

There are 3 basic costs when creating a website. These three costs are The Initial Web Design, Domain Registration, and Monthly Hosting

Web Design:
This is the cost to design a website for your company. The price usually depends on the desired format you wish to have your website in . The most standard are the following:

  • HTML - This is the most basic design and usually the most cost effective. Should be used if price is an issue, and if it will be updated and maintained by a professional.
  • CMS - This is the easiest format to update. It does not require a professional to maintain and can be updated from any computer with an internet connection.
  • FLASH - This format should be used when you want to leave an impression. It does require the assistance of a professional to update.
  • Special Coding - There also will be projects that are far more than simple websites and require heavy programming. If your website requires database support, credit card payments etc. That would require more extensive programming which will be more expensive but can be customized to produce the results you want.

The price of the above mentioned for HTML, CMS and Flash usually range in the El Paso Market from $500.00 to $1600.00 It would be hard to justify any more than that. Special Coding cannot be placed in this catagory because each project is priced on a case by case basis.

Domain Registration
This is the actually purchasing of the name of your website. The www.yourwebsitename.com If you do it yourself you can get one for as low as $10.00 a year. CAUTION!! DO NOT LET YOUR WEB DESIGNER OWN YOUR DOMAIN!!!!

Hosting:
This is a monthly charge to place your website online. This includes your email accounts and backups. You can get a good hosting package for around $50.00 a month.
